Patriot Pioneer Fall Baseball Program

Dear Patriot Pioneer Baseball Families and Players,

The Coaching Staff is in the process of coordinating our Fall Program. This program will resemble what most major Division I baseball programs do on an annual basis for their fall workouts. The focus of this program will be fundamental skill development, strength and conditioning, long toss program, and active rest. With the amount of games that our players have played this year, we feel it is necessary to take a step back and work from the ground up. Individual group work, as well as, team practices will help us focus on weaknesses that need to be addressed throughout the fall.  At the end of our Fall Program we will have a “Draft” and will play the first annual “Pioneer World Series”.

The Fall Program will last approximately 6-8 weeks and will consist of:

Strength and Conditioning:               Monday/Wednesday/Friday
Skill Development/Team Practice:  Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday

Our start date will be determined in the next week. For all that plan on playing somewhere this fall, please contact Coach Serrano at serranes@pwcs.edu

Regards,

Update and Information

All,

I wanted to get some information out to you and update you on some things going on.

For those of you that are waiting for jackets and pullovers, I have been assured that they will be here within the week.  I received the boys shorts on Friday and will pass them out tomorrow.  I apologize in the delay and will look for a solution over the summer to make certain that this doesn't happen again.

Players hats.  I am in the process of collecting money for the hats that the players were issued.  The cost for the hats is $22 and I need to collect all monies by Thursday.  I will remind the boys tomorrow.

Marucci Order.  I have had numerous players ask about putting another order in.  I am more than willing to do so but it needs to be in by Friday.  I will post the order form under our team files.

I truly appreciate the continued support!

Season Opener! (Player/Parent Expectations)

 All,

With the regular season starting tomorrow, I wanted to revisit the expectations laid out in the Parent Meeting.

Player Expectations:

  • Wear a shirt and tie on all game days unless otherwise instructed by the Coaching Staff.  Khakis are acceptable.
  • Be on time daily to school and class.  Coach Serrano will have a report run every afternoon to regulate tardies and absences.
  • Do not fraternize with anyone other than managers, coaches, and players prior to and/or during games.  This includes PARENTS and FRIENDS.
  • Do what is RIGHT all the time!  NO EXCEPTIONS!
  • Represent yourself, your family, your school, and "OUR PROGRAM" at all times.

Parent Expectations:

  • Please be supportive of ALL of our players at all times.
  • DO NOT harass the umpires.  We will need their help at some point!
  • Please DO NOT communicate with your child prior to or during the game.  This is a time where they need to focus on their teammates, their coaches, and most importantly, THE GAME.
  • Please DO NOT bring your child any food or drinks prior to or during the game.

Thanks for all that you have done in the days leading up to our season opener!  I can't wait for tomorrow.  I look forward to being a part of the Inaugural Season at Patriot High School.  I hope you are as well.
