Good morning PHS soccer players and families, a few reminders as we enter regular season play. 

Tickets are purchased online this season and games will be streamed via NFHS if you would like to subscribe to the feed this season. Please remember each players family is required to commit to a minimum of two home concession events in support of our program. We may need additional volunteers as we enter post-season play, we appreciate your assistance. The coaches and I will assign concession dates today, if you would like to select your own dates, please do so ASAP to avoid having dates selected for your family. All necessary links are included below.

JV players will be assigned to run lines for home varsity games, this schedule will be shared today. If an assigned date does not work for your student-athlete due to a prior obligation it is their responsibility to find coverage and communicate with Coach Blair. If you would like to support the Varsity team tonight by running lines during the game against Colgan please contact the coaches, we need 2 additional volunteers. If you have younger children who would like to help with this task please let the coaches know, we would love to work young fans down onto the sideline for that experience.

As we kick-off (hehe) regular season play, we cannot thank you enough for the support you have provided the boys and our program. As a reminder, this Saturday is Mulch Delivery Day (beginning at 7 am). All athletes are required by the program to attend this event at some point throughout the day and assist as mulch is loaded/delivered to our community. If you have a truck/trailer or are wanting to lend a hand as well, please contact the coaching staff as we prepare for this incredible event.

Finally, student-athletes are required to be picked-up immediately after practice from the practice site (remain at the grass or stadium for pick-up). This allows the coaches to know all athletes have safely left campus. Per the PHS Athletic Department, athletes are not allowed to roam campus following team events. If this becomes a persistent concern the coaching staff will reach out to parents, please help your student-athletes arrange daily transportation.

Tryouts will be inside from 2:30-4:00 pm in the main gym. Please plan accordingly. 

All players must complete the following items on the image below. Players who's eligibility forms have not been approved (missing one or more of: physical, concussion training etc.) have been contacted via email. If your eligibility form was not approved you will need to obtain the incomplete form from Coach Cureton (room 1710 in Mod 1) and resubmit with the missing information.

Due to the cold temps today's after school conditioning AND weight room session will be canceled. See you next Wednesday on the stadium at 2:20 pm weather permitting. 

All college commits - signing day is Feb 2nd. Please reach out to coach by the end of the week if you would like to participate in the after-school signing day event at Patriot High School. 

Today we begin our sessions with C4 Explosive Training. If you were one of the 19 members to submit your money please arrive and be prepared to start promptly at 3:00 pm. The session will end at 4:30 please plan to leave immediately following the session. The address for the facility is: 9501 Discovery Blvd Unit 155, Manassas, VA 20109. Coach Nichols and I look forward to seeing you this afternoon.

Tomorrow, there will be an out-of-season session at Patriot HS. Please plan to arrive dressed and ready for outdoor play at 2:30 in Coach Cureton's room (1710 in Mod 1). Following brief play, we will lift in the weight room from 3:30 - 4:00 pm. Bring both soccer gear (cleats/shinguards) and lifting gear (sneakers). This Tuesday/Wednesday schedule will be consistent until tryouts in February.

Hello PHS soccer players and families! The coaching staff would like to wish you an incredible new year! Additionally, we look forward to continuing the hard work this off-season to make our the spring of '22 the most successful season yet. 

Today, January 4th we were supposed to begin our first session at C4. Due to weather related cancelations this session has been postponed and will be made-up at a later time. Please be sure to follow this page or contact your coaches with any questions. 

We look forward to seeing you in the halls of PHS as we return to school for the second half of the year.

Hello Patriot Soccer family,

Today we are posting information about our winter conditioning program with C4 Explosive Sports Training. This is a once a week elective program where the boys will be working on strength, speed and agility. The boys will have a pre and post assessment to show growth and improvement throughout the 7 sessions. Each session is from 3-4:30 pm on Tuesdays from January 3 – February 14. The sessions include proper warm-up, session and cool-down with multiple trainers. We will learn about proper technique, form and nutritional information. This is a great opportunity to prepare for the start of season at the end of February.

If you are interested in committing, please know it is a first-come first-served basis and the spaces are limited to 20. The cost per player is $50 (cash or check made to PHS Boys Soccer), which is about $7 per session. The program is covering some of the additional cost to make it as affordable as possible. Know that transportation is not provided to or from the training site (off-campus at 9501 Discovery Blvd Unit 155, Manassas, VA 20109). The liability waiver (required) can be found at www.c4strong.com and the flyer in the team documents section for print. The boys can stop by our classrooms to receive a copy as well.  

We will collect forms and money (both required to reserve a space) starting at 7 am tomorrow 12/8.

The PHS Boys Soccer Program will host two more out-of-season conditioning dates prior to the Thanksgiving Holiday. Thursday 11/18 and Tuesday 11/23 from 2:30-3:45 on the T. Clay turf field. All interested athletes are encouraged to attend. Please be sure to have a physical on file with PHS and to bring shin guards, a light and dark shirt, water and appropriate cold - weather gear. The coaching staff looks forward to seeing you on the field. 

Out of season soccer on Tuesday, 10/26 has been moved to the same time (2:30-3:45 pm) on Wednesday, October 27th. We will be on the grass field behind Patriot. Please be sure to have submitted an up to date physical, bring shin guards, cleats, water and a light/dark tee for the session.

To be eligible for out-of-season workouts each player must have a submitted updated physical with the PHS Athletic Department. Please bring cleats, shinguards, and water to each session.
