Much Congratulations to Thiago Mendieta for his great play at the VHSL State Tennis Championship in Huntington Park Newport News, VA on June 13th and 14th.

He won his semi-final Match 7-6, 6-7, 1(9)-0 which took over 2.5 hours to win. Unfortunately the next day final match win went to Deep Run HS. He proudly brought home the runner up VHSL medal representing Patriot HS for Class 6 play.

Thiago had a great season this year and was the first Boys Tennis Player at Patriot High School to achieve this level of play at the VHSL state championship. The final was his only loss this season.

Congratulations to Patriot Pioneer Junior Thiago Mendieta for winning the Regional singles tennis championship. Defeated Freedom South Riding's number one player.

Thiago will be participating in the VHSL state singles tournament in early June. 

Also Congratulations to Junior Thiago Mendieta and Senior Hayden Moss for receiving the silver medal for being runner up in the Regional Doubles final.They lost to Freedom South Riding doubles team in a tough played match.

Congratulations to The Boys Varsity Tennis Team who will be seeded number 3 at the Regional Tennis Tournament.(May 29th)
