Concessions needs help tonight. We are hosting Battlefield soccer game and there is a Varsity Baseball game tonight. If you can please volunteer to help. They need adult grillers. Players you can earn hours very easily earn them early in your high school career so that you don't have to worry about it later. Thank you ahead of time. 

Due to the weather yesterday and the need for schools to complete conference schedules. Varsity will play Osbourn at home tonight 5/6 at home. JV game is canceled. 

Osbourn High School will play their home softball games at Metz Middle School (9950 Wellington Rd, Manassas, VA 20110)

Players received Tervis Tumbler Fundraiser flyers yesterday. Players who sell 6 will have the players banquet paid for. When players turn in their forms they should put their name at the top of the form so we can have an accurate count for each player. Fundraising has been slow this year so each girl needs to raise some funds so the players banquet cost is paid for. If you need more flyers please let me know and we can get some to you. The only place you can get a Patriot Tervis Tumbler. Have players ask their teachers and parents of other Patriot students or future Patriot students. Thank you for your support of Patriot Softball. 

Softball parents please consider working concessions tonight during the varsity game. There have been few to sign up for tonight. They need adults to help with the grill and the registers. Thank you for the support. 

Reminder to all players that they need to report to the gym after school for the gatorade presentation. We will practice outside afterwards. 

JV game for today is cancelled. We are scheduled for indoor space from 2-4 pm today. 

Games today have been canceled due to field conditions. JV will not practice they should go home after school. Varsity will hit in the cage outside after school.  Varsity game scheduled at Osbourn on 4/17 has been moved to Thursday 4/16. Games will still be played at Metz Middle school. 

Todays game is cancelled. Practice at 330 for the following players Wark, Escobar,Naydock, Boyd, Lacy, Kogel, Lonchar, Landrum. Please report to auxiliary gym. All other players go home.

Practice will be after school on the field. We should be finished at 4:30. 

Todays JV softball game at Briar Woods is canceled due to weather.

Hope everyone has had a great Spring Break. Back to it tomorrow. Practice at 3pm. Locker room opens at 230.

Coaches will be available at the field Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 2:30-3:30 for hitting, pitching, throwing, conditioning and fielding if desired. These are voluntary workouts. All players need to do something while on break. If you are out of town find a cage and a throwing partner.

Varsity Players you have voluntary hitting indoors beginning at 4:30. You can also use the gym for conditioning. 

Practice will begin at 3pm today to give girls time for retakes and make ups. 

Varsity game is at Patriot at 6pm. JV will practice at 2:30 at the field. JV parents please look at your schedules and think about volunteering for concessions tonight. 

The game against Freedom Woodbridge on Monday 3/23 has been moved to Patriot.

Concessions needs our help. I would like everyone to sign up to volunteer their time for 2 time slots this spring. The Booster club has helped out our program and we need to make sure we show our appreciation and support by helping in the concessions, selling mulch and joining the club. The nets that protect our fans from foul balls have been provided through the booster club. Lets show them that we appreciate them providing for our program. 

Odyssey of the Mind is a huge event on our campus tomorrow. JV parents and girls if you have a couple hours tomorrow please think about volunteering to help with this event.

The games for Saturday 3/21 at Langley have been pushed back to 2:00pm (vs. Centreville) and 4:00pm (vs. Langley).

Mulch sales - Support our team and boosters by selling mulch. Buy some for your yard, sell some to your neighbors. I have some forms and they are available on the boosters link. 

Booster memberships - Support boosters and join the team! Membership forms are in the boosters link. 

Concessions - We need everyone to sign up for at least one concession time. 

Game day Meals - Sign up to bring items for game day meals there are plenty of opportunities left to help.

As of right now after school activities are a go. We are scheduled indoors 2:15-4:00. 

Please order your spirit wear tonight. A practice shirt and red socks are the minimum requirement. I do recommend something to keep a player warm. Our field is windy and cold through March and into April.

We will also be selling Mulch and a couple of other fundraisers in March. Mulch forms will be handed out at practice tomorrow and they are also available on the website.

Parent meeting will be on Tuesday 3/3 at 6;30.

Practice Monday 3/2 will be at 2:30. I will let players know the schedule for the next day at practice.

Reminder when school is canceled all school activities are canceled as well. No practice today. Watch for updates for tomorrows schedule.

Monday tryouts will be held indoors beginning at 5pm. If players cannot go home and be back by 4:45pm, players can come to room 2117 for study hall. If a player has not turned in their physical or concussion training paperwork they must meet Coach Eikhoff in room 2117 after school to clear their eligibility. If a player has not completed the eligibility form they must meet Coach Eikhoff in room 2117 after school so they can clear their eligibility before tryouts begin. Please have a helmet, bat, and glove for tryouts.

We need all softball families to help out with the concession stand this year. If you could please use the site below and sign up for times that you can help work the concession stand. You may have to copy and paste the link into your browser. The Varsity game schedule is up on the site and the JV schedule will come up after tryouts as there is a lot of flux in that schedule at the beginning of the season. Concession needs help all year so look at those opportunities that they have available before the season starts. Players can work the concession stand, but they also need adults to help man the cash register.

Those interested in trying out for softball need to have completed concussion training and obtained a physical prior to attending tryouts. All those trying out should also see Coach Eikhoff in room 2117 to complete an eligibility check form if you have not already done so. 

Please pay attention to the website for changes in time or location of tryouts next week. The weather looks to be very cold which means we will most likely be indoors. All those trying out should be prepared with warm clothes for outdoors and tennis shoes for indoors. Players you may store your equipment in room 2117 on tryout days. 

There will be a meeting for all girls interested in playing softball on 2/6 on room 2117 after school. The meeting will start at 2:05 and will be finished by 2:45. Please plan accordingly. If you cannot attend the meeting please see Coach Eikhoff in Room 2117 before Friday. If you have your physical and/or concussion training form please bring to the meeting on Friday. You must have concussion training and a physical to tryout for softball.
